The 'Little Architect' Program is Offered at AASA in London

The Little Architect program is a unique offering from the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AASA) in London. The course is for children of primary school age, and teaches them architectural lessons that aren't even glanced at in a typical primary school curriculum.

The Little Architect program is not extracurricular, though, as the workshops are run in primary school classes by a visiting teacher from the AASA in partnership with that class' regular teacher. The workshops last a minimum of two hours.

AASA believes that architecture is not only important to teach students in and of itself, but it can also be a valuable tool for other areas of study. Architecture is more tactile and apparent in the real world than the pure theory of other STEM subjects, and yet architecture requires knowledge of all four of the STEM fields.
