Vase-Like Liquor Bottles

WuDu Liquor's Packaging Was Designed to Be Cleverly Repurposed After Use

There is a great deal of effort that goes into the creation of most liquor bottles, but extra care and attention went into the design of WuDu Liquor by Chinese agency ShenZhen Lingyun Creative. Thinking beyond the life of the product, the agency approached packaging from a sustainability standpoint to offer a design that may be repurposed when empty.

The elegant porcelain packaging boasts a delicate, aesthetically pleasing design that has the potential to be enjoyed with each drinking ritual. Beyond this, the Chinese white spirit is packaged with a porcelain coaster, as well as a dried bunch of flowers and a user manual that suggests alternatives to throwing away the emptied vessel after its initial purpose has been served.

The secondary packaging for the product is not sealed, so that the box may be kept in tact. By preserving the packaging, the agency notes that a consumer who purchases the same product "will be granted a discount as long as they return the full package to the seller. The amount of the discount equals the cost of packaging."
