Digital Sand Timepieces

'Liquid Time' is a 21st Century Update to the Age-Old Hourglass

The hourglass has been given a 21st century makeover in the form of Liquid Time. Liquid Time is a futuristic digital wristwatch designed by Andy Kurovets.

Kurovets' design has the shapely look of an hourglass and is completely button-free. Time is told easily enough by looking at the numbers on the top of the hourglass (the hours) and the bottom (the minutes). The watch does not have an adjustable band but is instead designed like a plastic bangle. The face of the watch is the most eye-appealing feature of this design as the hours literally appear to be falling into the minutes below. Liquid Time comes in silver, black and red for those who like options.
