Artful Beachwood Furnishings

The Linda Hagberg Driftwood Furniture Series is Organically Conceived

Entitled 'Driftwood', this organic collection of furnishings is conceived by Linda Hagberg. The swedish architect and designer collects wooden flotsam that has been carried by the tide and washed ashore. Hadberg creates sculptural furniture pieces that include tables, chairs and light fixtures among others inspired by the world of nature.

The 'Driftwood' furniture collection by Linda Hagberg mimics organic patterns created by wood and achieves them with the use of a parametric software that employs a complex numeration and assembling process.

After projecting a specific pattern, this software generates furniture components and builds them into a three-dimensional surface. With the help of machinery, each 3D piece is numbered, sanded, finished with a laquer and joined together with layers of resin that act as their adhesive.
