VR Military Helmets

LimpidArmor's New War Helmet Uses the Microsoft HoloLens

The Microsoft HoloLens is a powerful consumer product, so much so that LimpidArmor, a Ukranian military equipment company, is incorporating the technology into one of its own products. LimpidArmor has created an "omnidirectional review system" that integrates the HoloLens into a military helmet, giving wearers an augmented reality system on the battlefield.

LimpidArmor's concept helmet isn't meant for every soldier. Rather, it's meant to be used by tank operators in conjunction with a camera system. With the omnidirectional review system, tank drivers can see a 360 degree video feed of the area surrounding their vehicle thanks to a set of military-grade cameras placed around the outside of the tank. The tank operator using the system could thus scan the entire landscape simply by looking around.
