Female Author Bookshops

Penguin's 'Like a Woman Bookshop' Celebrates Iconic Female Authors

To mark International Women's Day, Penguin Random House is launching the 'Like a Woman Bookshop,' which features only titles that have been penned by female authors.

The pop-up bookshop in London is set to be launched for just a few days in March in partnership with Waterstones, featuring the works of Margaret Atwood, Malorie Blackman, Iris Murdoch, Malala Yousafzai and more. To help visitors discover new reads at the bookshop, Penguin will be organizing the titles into categories like 'Essential Feminist Reads,' 'Women to Watch,' and 'Inspiring Young Readers.'

The proceeds from ticket sales are set to be donated to Solace Women’s Aid, which supports at risk women in London. Additionally, people who visit the shop will also have the chance to buy books that will be donated.
