Jordan Unveils Jayson Tatum’s First Sneaker: the Jordan Tatum 1

Sports brand Jordan has unveiled the lightest shoe in its portfolio, called the Jordan Tatum 1, which is the Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum's first signature shoe. Jayson Tatum has been a part of the NBA since he was drafted first round back in 2017 and signed with the Jordan brand in 2019. Since then, he has made four NBA All-Star appearances and two All-NBA selections and was named the NBA Eastern Conference Finals Most Valuable Player in 2022.

The first iteration features tiger and leopard prints as a commemoration of taking his son, Deuce to the zoo. The second iteration is called the St. Louis iteration, with retro Cardinals colors and the name of his childhood home’s street Archer Ave. The third iteration is the Barbershop iteration and the Pink Lemonade iteration has a pink colorway. The materials used in the shoe are of breathable mesh knit and anchored by a light TPU frame with the midsole filled with the Zoom Air bag, making the shoe lighter in weight. The first iteration will be available on April 7, while the rest of the line will be available over April, May, and June.
