Santtu Mustonen's Works Simulate Colorful Light Refractions

Light refractions have interested physicists and artists for centuries, with their colorful streams of different beams of luminescence simulating miniature rainbows in the privacy of your own home. With his newest series of artwork, Santtu Mustonen emulates the feeling of light refractions.

Each of his works depicts an abstract stream of colors, streaming from one corner of the frame to the other. Blue flows into orange flows into purple flows into green, creating a seamless gradient of colors that cannot help engaging its viewers.

Although his works appear simple, Mustonen must have spent hours on each work, getting every texture, shade and line perfect, so as to create a series that looks almost computer-generated. With this series, Mustonen has proven that simplicity can go a long way.
