Light-Transmitted Wi-Fi

Internet Connectivity Through Light Looks to be Likely

It seems that WiFi access is never around when you need it. So what do we do?  Typically we look to see if there’s a local network that we can tap into and hope for the best. Thanks to the folks at pureLiFi, this experience could soon be a thing of the past.

LiFi, Light Fidelity, is the younger cousin to WiFi. By using a flickering LED light (the flickering is undetectable to the naked eye,) information can be communicated via the light itself. This means that if there’s a light source by you, that could very well be used as a portal to access the internet.
