Co-founders Jackie King and Melanie Hunley began Liberate Apparel as a way to help women in the Dominican Republic and Haiti free themselves from a cycle of poverty and destitution.
Liberate Apparel's line of female clothing is handcrafted from the finest material, intended to draw out the natural beauty inherent within every woman. The apparel is made within the dual-country island providing work, sufficient wages and opportunities for women throughout the country. With the intention of instilling their workers with valuable life skills and resources, Liberate Apparel aims to encourage women to "permanently change the direction of life for them and their families."
