Lettuce Burger Buns

The MOS Yasai Burger is Served Inside of a Leafy Lettuce Bun

At MOS Burger in Japan, the all-new MOS Yasai Burger (meaning "Vegetable Burger") is sold on a leafy green lettuce bun. On the inside of this unusual burger, MOS Burger serves up a slice of tomato, shredded lettuce, onions and a beef patty that's been dressed with a flavorful sauce. By replacing the burger buns with a gluten-free vegetable option, the burger product seems like a much healthier option than most fast food places offer.

Alongside this new Yasai Burger, MOS Burger also unveiled a Teriyaki Chicken Burger, which is a similar option that includes sliced onions, mayonnaise and grilled chicken rather than beef.

In the past, Japan's MOS Burger has experimented with other unconventional bun formats, including donuts, tomato halves and sauce-covered bread.
