During this year's Miami Grand Prix, Formula 1 has swapped its turbochargers for LEGO bricks at the pre-race parade which feature life-sized entirely drivable LEGO F1 ars. All of the 10 teams were represented by its own custom model, which has been built from hundreds of thousands of LEGO bricks.
It is made in a way that reflects the real-world inspiration down to the Pirelli tires and the various sponsor logos. This project was made as a collaboration between LEGO and Formula 1. It is all built by a 26-person team at the LEGO factory in Kladno, Czech Republic. Each car took about 2,000 hours to construct and each weighs about 1,500 kilograms, which is double of the actual car.
