Wearable Fashion Lighting

British designer Lionel Theodore Dean's wearable art combines lighting design with fashion to come up with a futuristic look. High intensity LEDs are powered by a battery clip akin to that of a cell phone.

That will keep the head gear lit up for a whole evening. What a way to turn heads, even in the dark!

Dean is currently Designer in Residence at Huddersfield University where he works on Future Factories. His design philosophy involves “a digital manufacturing (Rapid Prototyping) concept for the mass individualization of products.”

Using rapid prototyping techniques, a designer is not confined to a single final product but works on a template product whereby highly individualised items can evolve.
