Celebrity-Inspired Farming

Lady Gaga Scarecrows are Made to Look Like the Popstar

Its not often farming and pop culture meet to create a new trend, however, that was before celebrity-inspired farming came along with the use of inventive scarecrows.

Local farmers in Surrey created specially designed scarecrows in the form of eccentric artistic performer, Lady Gaga. After seeing her outfit she wore at the Brits Music Awards -- which featured a white draped gown and custom made wig and mask -- the farmers created the imitation farming device to help protect premium wheat-grown exclusively for Hovis which has been growing for over five years.

The fashion-inspired scarecrow has been a success for some farmers and although some would not consider these methods truly traditional. It is a sign that farmers and the agricultural industry are, like music, moving with the times.
