Japan-Infused European Workwear

KUON's FW20 Range Draws From Cross Cultural Inspirations

Fashion label KUON introduces its Fall/Winter 2020 collection and it showcased the work of designer Shinichiro Ishibashi. The seasonal design spotlights the designer as the name is showcased on the new tags stitched right at the front of the garments.

The collection is inspired by William Adams, who was an Englishman who settled in Japan in the Edo 17th century period. The range is full of European workwear items that are detailed with heritage designs including the barn jacket. It is constructed from washed-out denim materials and weaved in a sakiori style at the collar. Sakiori style is a traditional Japanese weaving that uses fabric scraps as a touch of sustainable elements to the seasonal KUON capsule as well.
