Despite being influenced by a rather simple treat, the Kuki Chair is incredibly sculptural. That is only natural since it is currently gracing the Milan-based showroom of furniture producers Sawaya & Moroni.
Designed by Zaha Hadid, the Kuki Chair is made out of a bent circular sheet of plastic. Accentuated by scored bands that follow the curvaceous shape of the seat, the Kuki Chair features droplet cutouts that give it an intricate lightweight look. With these details, the Kuki Chair could also be considered a cross between an origami artwork and an old vinyl record.
