Kleenex Tissue Packaging will No Longer Feature a Plastic Collar

Kleenex tissue packaging has been revamped by the brand to help make it a more eco-friendly option for consumers to feel good about when making a purchase. The packaging will no longer feature the plastic collar around the opening and comes as part of the brand's Every Step Counts initiative to make the product as recyclable after use as possible. The new packaging will be rolled out starting in August 2020 and is reported to help keep around 82 tonnes of plastic out of the landfill each year.

Vice President and Managing Director of Kimberly-Clark UK Ori Ben Shai spoke on the new Kleenex tissue packaging saying, "At Kleenex, we are taking active steps to improve our environmental footprint through our products and processes. The launch of our new packaging is another step in our plan to reduce plastic waste and take better care of our planet. We are making it easier for customers to recycle and look forward to them joining us on this journey."
