Italian sportswear imprint ellesse works in collaboration with King of Trainers on a new collection entitled Grand Slam for the season. The capsule is made up of six items that feature both apparel and sneaker designs. The footwear features shoes that boast tones of navy blue on one foot and sky blue on the other foot. It is enclosed with gold tonal laces that are meant to represent the Wimbledon tennis championships.
It is made from suede materials throughout the upper and sits on top of a rubber outsole. The rest of the capsule is made up of a dual tonal tracksuit in the same hues of navy and sky blue, polo tops, tees, and shorts. Speaking about the capsule, King of Trainers states, "This collection is not only an homage to iconic ellesse tennis kits from the 1980s, but it is also a celebration of my mum’s love of the sport that she passed on to me. She used to buy me the latest tennis shoes that the professional players were wearing."
