Child-Friendly Search Engines

Thinga is a Kids' Search Engine Safe for Children of All Ages to Use

From the guy behind the no longer existent Yahoo Kids, Thinga is a kids' search engine. BJ Heiney recently launched the child-friendly platform where children and parents can find fun and safe content online.

Described as a "walled garden," Thinga exists under the umbrella of The Bear James Company. Children can type in a search term and all the results will be either content from the company, hand-picked by Heiney's team or from "whitelisted" youth-appropriate websites. All of the results in the kids' search engine will also be free of advertisements. As well, Thinga showcases a variety of content for users to browse through without having to do any searching at all. Categories include videos and animals, with everything being compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
