Word-Censoring Social Media Functions

Facebook's Keyboard Snooze Blocks Posts Containing Keywords

Fighting spoilers or avoiding offensive content on social media can seem fairly difficult but a new Keyword Snooze function on Facebook makes this endeavor a lot easier. Essentially, the new feature will allow users to hide posts with certain keywords for 30 days. In its current state, the Keyword Snooze feature can only block words for 30 days but Facebook has already stated that it will be testing longer options.

Enabling the Keyword Snooze function is incredibly simple and can be done via the upper right-hand menu on the site. Keywords can be inputted manually or chosen from a list of words and phrases automatically generated by Facebook from a particular post. The function can currently only block organic content and cannot block ads.
