Kasese Seating is an Iconic Design from Hella Jongerius

This Kasese chair is so innovative I just had to post it. For a start, it only has three legs and folds totally flat. An uber slick ‘guest chair,’ if you will.

Holland-based Hella Jongerius was the designer, while Jongeriuslab manufactured it. Sadly, it is not currently being made for consumers. The Kasese chair is comprised of carbon fiber on top of glass fiber, with a felt covering.

You can’t buy these chairs new any more, but if you want to see them, then one is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
