The Karma 4G hotspot is a pocket-sized gadget that links to the Clearwire Internet network, currently available in 80 cities across the U.S. Karma operates on a pay-as-you-go system, charging $14 per gigabyte. The sharing system comes into play when someone connects to your hotspot while you’re out and about. Whenever someone uses your connection, they’re given 100MB of free data, and you’re credited 100MB of data to your account. The company will place its first 500 hotspots in New York City before the end of the year.
