Arcing Minimalist Furniture

The Kaari Table by Juhani Horelli is Inspired by Bridges

The Kaari Table is named after the Finnish word for 'arc.' Clearly that was the perfect decision considering that sweeping lines incorporated into the design. Inspired by the landscape of bridges, the Kaari Table boasts an interesting cantilevered impression. The top portion of the furniture piece shoots out without connecting to the other end of the base, giving it an almost unfinished aesthetic.

Designed by Juhani Horelli, the Kaari Table was created using the Finnish and Scandinavian tradition of mold pressing veneer. Nevertheless, the form is unique in order to keep contemporary homes in mind. Polished with a lacquer finish, it’s available in walnut, wenge and stripy birch plywood.

The nook on one end of the Kaari Table can be used as storage.
