Josephine Pryde's 'Nigh Out' Display Merges Unrelated Photos

Jospehine Pryde showcased her eclectic works of photography at Simon Lee Gallery's 'Night Out' exhibit. The UK native finished her BFA studies at Central Saint Martins in 1989, and has since been capturing the best of street life.

Night Out pits Pryde's images of a London-based fashion event with her gritty bike rack display. Snapshots of party hopping crowds placed next to slabs of metal gave off a current, urbanite feel, fitting with Simon Lee Gallery's known rapport with contemporary artists.

Placed on the back rack mounts are pictures of dripping black liquids. The lining up of the dark slabs against the walls works with a time lapse theme, revealing in detail how the fluids flowed on to the canvases throughout Pryde's execution of Night Out.
