American watch retailer Hodinkee has once again teamed up with beloved musician John Mayer to release the G-SHOCK Ref. 6900-PT80. The three-way collaboration delivers a riff on the popular DW6900, which has become a cult favorite amongst the chronology community.
Mirroring Mayer's most recent album 'Sob Rock,' the limited-edition Ref. 6900-PT80 draws inspiration from the 1980s. In particular, it leverages design elements that were first featured on the Casio PT-80 keyboard. As a result, this retro-inspired timepiece is delivered in an off-white resin case with red, green, and gray outlines intended to reflect the keyboard's three signature Triple Graph registers. In addition, at 53.2 mm in diameter and 16.33mm thick, the watch is quite large in size, making it a bold statement piece.
