This Jacob Hashimoto Artwork is a Kaleidoscope of Kites

This Jacob Hashimoto artwork consists of hundreds of kites intricately strung up on a gallery wall. The result is a wall of eclectic color and clashing patterns that is simply mesmerizing to look at.

The latest Jacob Hashimoto artwork, entitled 'Near the edge of the World', brings together hundreds of patterned kites and lanterns all connected by loosely hanging chains. Some of the kites are even multiplied using a projecting system -- giving the piece even more depth and richness.

This original Jacob Hashimoto artwork intends to reference the 'meta-history of contemporary art' through the recreated, multi-faceted wall of art. This exhibition is currently showing at the Martha Otero Gallery. Jacob Hashimoto was born in Japan and now lives and works in New York City.
