Jack & Friends makes chewy, plant-based jackfruit jerky with pea protein and plenty of personality. These vegan snacks each have characters of their own thanks to names like Jack & Tom that enhance the jackfruit and pea protein jerky alternative with zesty and spicy notes of tomato and poblano chilis, or Jack & Barb with a barbecue influence. There's also Jack & Teri, a teriyaki flavor with a zesty kick from ginger.
The brand got its start during an Institute of Food Technologists’ (IFT) Student Association & Mars Product Development competition and as founder Jessica Kwong says, "I wanted to create a product that’s inclusive of a variety of diets without sacrificing amazing taste. After graduating from Cornell, I decided to turn down a job offer from a multi-billion dollar snack company to follow my passion and set out to make a product that everyone can enjoy without giving up flavor, nutrition, or convenience."
