Giant Hoop Acrobatics

Isaac Hou, The Ring Man, Spins Mesmerizingly and Gymnastically

Street performers who use hula hoops are often considered impressive, yet Isaac Hou blows them out of the water. Instead of the typical plastic hoops, he uses a metal ring known as a Cyr wheel. And instead of spinning it around his hips, arms and neck, Isaac Hou steps inside the ring like Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man in order to spin around himself.

Dubbed the Ring Man, Isaac Hou studied at circus schools in Denmark and Russia to learn his trade. Also a master of contact and torch juggling, he shows the crowd just what the human body is capable of with intense training and discipline. Isaac Hou currently busks in Taipei for tourists and locals.
