Ippudo is Now Producing a Limited-Edition Clam Chowder Ramen

Japanese ramen chain Ippudo has never served clam chowder ramen except at its New York location, but this is about to change for those in Asia.

Rather than serving this unique soup hybrid as a new restaurant offering, the clam chowder ramen is being offered in a cup exclusively through Japanese 7-Eleven convenience stores and Seven & I Holdings supermarkets.

Unlike many ramen noodle products that are made with inexpensive ingredients, this one boasts a packet of upscale truffle oil, which is to be stirred into the mixture along with the other contents. Another distinguishing feature of this product is that the included ramen noodles are slightly thicker than usual, which help to soak up more of the flavorful broth.
