The Ion Horse is a complete eco-friendly bike designed and developed by Kingston University in collaboration with UK’s leading green energy firm Ecotricity. The bike was officially unveiled and has already participated in the electric bike-racing event TT Isle of Man.
The Ion Horse has become the first electric bike in the world to compete in such an event. The superbike has awesome features, including lithium polymer cobalt cells and a new direct drive system, which makes the Ion Horse very uncommon in comparison to other electric bikes.
This zero-emissions wind-powered superbike has a top speed of 225 kmph, with a capability of reaching 160kmph in 8.5 seconds. At a price of £150,000 (approx.$246,000), there is no doubt that the Ion Horse will take the road by storm.
