Internet Yami-ichi Celebrates Amazing & Useless Product Found on the Web

The things a person sees on the World Wide Web can often fall in the bizarre pile as much as it does a buzz-worthy one, a sentiment that is captured by the Internet Yami-ichi. Translating to "black market" in Japanese, it is an event based in London that brings such finds out into the real world.

As the curators behind the Internet Yami-ichi puts it, "both flea markets and the Internet are fanatical and chaotic mixes of the amazing and useless. The Internet Yami-Ichi is a celebration, where together we experience the afterglow, off line, as the ‘buzz’ of the Internet wears off." It features 20 local and international artists picked by Nimrod Vardi (of arebyte) and Tine Scharaffenberg. From digital fortunes to selfie caps and a CD of field recordings from travels around the Internet, the finds are limitless.
