Enjoy the Rain and Stay Dry in the rAndom International Rain Room

The rAndom International Rain Room lets you sing in the rain without worrying about being drenched or catching a cold.

What is so mind-boggling about this magnificent art installation is that the pouring rain in the 100-square meter cubic area responds to the presence visitors. Tracking cameras are able to sense when people are near to the downpour and switch off the rain valves so that they are able to pass in the desired direction.

You can hear and see the heavy rainfall surrounding you on either side as you walk through the drenched maze, but you will not feel it. The tickle of the mist from the pouring rain is the closest you will get to water touching your skin. The rAndom International Rain Room is on display at the Barbican Center in London, England.
