Michael Jantzen brings this collection of interactive tables that merge furniture and sculpture to create interesting shapes and color patterns.
Each table is a series of pieces connected by a cylinder which connects to two end pieces. On the outside of each end piece is a knob which is used for tightening or loosening the middle pieces. Every model’s inner pieces have at least one flat side. When all the inner pieces have the flat side facing up, they act as functional, everyday tables. For a flare, the user turns the outside knob thus loosening the lock on the inner pieces. Once loosened, the inner pieces can be turned to reveal new colors or shapes.
