Oak & Morrow's ADCN Yearbook Creates an Interactive Reading Experience

From pop-up elements to holographic details, there are many book covers that take the experience of interactive reading a little deeper. For the design of its ADCN yearbook, the Oak & Morrow studio wanted to show that the books of the future can be so much more interesting. With a phosphorescent cover, when the book is picked up by warm hands, the cover design begins to morph. This way, when the book is set on the shelf and forgotten, it begins to fade to black.

By using thermal ink, the book is able to take on a personality that seems to crave attention from a reader—the more it is held and looked at, the happier the book seems to be.
