Garmin Debuted the 'Instinct 2 dēzl' Health-Managing Smartwatch

Garmin has launched the 'Instinct 2 dēzl Edition' health wearable targetted at truck drivers. Truckers often spend long amounts of time driving, meaning they often do not find time to exercise. As a result of this, many truckers are concerned with weight management and personal health. The Instinct 2 dēzl Edition boasts various features, such as health monitoring and health notifications, that address these concerns.

The watch has an ultra-long, 28-day battery life, so it is always ready for long road trips. The name, dēzl, comes from the watch's ability to pair to a dēzl navigation system, commonly found on truck dashboards. This allows the device to send health metrics and notifications directly to the driver's dashboard console. The metrics this device tracks include heart rate, blood-oxygen level, hydration, stress, and several other smaller data points.

In order to promote a healthier lifestyle, the watch will send the driver notifications to remind them to pull over and take a break. Then, the watch provides instructions on how to perform a short comprehensive exercise routine to prevent health issues from long sitting sessions.
