Although the Inspiration Chair may look like a quirky bean bag that has been filled with big orange balls in place of smaller beans, it boasts a practical feature that sets it apart from its cousins. Instead of remaining malleable at all times, the Inspiration Chair can be suctioned into staying in one shape for however long desired.
Designed by Lapo Germasi, a 24-year-old Industrial Design student from Italy, the Inspiration Chair is made out of a electro-welded PVC cube, low-density polyurethane balls and a suction valve. The designer writes poetically, "An empty solid but full of air, elements inserted into it but who fill it only partially. A fictional form, so simple but in become, a shape without shape. Potentially all or nothing."
