Meta introduced a new Insights tab within its supervision hub that shows parents the topics their teen asked Meta AI about in the past week, featuring groupings like School, Entertainment and Health and Wellbeing. The rollout covered the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada and Brazil and will expand globally in the coming weeks.
The Insights view breaks topics into subcategories — for example, Lifestyle includes fashion and food, while Health and Wellbeing covers mental health and fitness — and lets parents tap a topic to see related subtopics. Meta also published suggested conversation starters to help parents discuss teens’ AI interactions and announced an AI Wellbeing Expert Council to guide product development for young users.
For parents, the update adds a high-level transparency layer around teens’ AI use, making it easier to start nonjudgmental conversations and identify areas that may need guidance; the feature aligns with wider moves to increase oversight of youth-facing AI.
