Facebook's Infinite Office Connects Users Through an Oculus Headset

In a move that appears to be straight out of an episode of Black Mirror, Facebook has released its Infinite Office technology, creating the possibility for a virtual reality workspace unlike any other.

The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the workforce in unimaginable ways, forcing brands and companies to get creative to ensure their workers stay focused, productive and connected. While numerous innovations have come to fruition to make video chats and meetings more normal, Facebook's Infinite Office takes things one step further.

Using an Oculus headset, users will have the ability to use the Internet without the need for a monitor. Using gestures, the user is able to complete all of their normal desk-related functions, like scrolling through various webpages, reading emails and even using a virtual keyboard to input commands.

Infinite Office is still in its testing phase and is set to be rolled out by Winter.
