DJI Has Created an Industrial Drone for Emergency Personnel

DJI recently created a new industrial drone, which is designed to aid emergency personnel during natural disasters. According to the company, it will be the first-ever industrial drone that is integrated with multi-spectral imaging.

The company is working with first responders in the United States to distribute the drone. DJI currently has partnerships with the Los Angeles Fire Department, the Menlo Park Fire Protection District, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office and more. FlyMotion and Axon will be used to distribute the drones as needed.

DJI has also created service options for the drones, one of which is titled "Enterprise Shield Basic Renew," which is a reduced price replacement for damaged drones. The other program, "Shield Plus Renew," offers unlimited replacements as well as free repairs for drones.
