This Temporary Building is an Outdoor Summer Pavilion & Indoor Art Gallery

London studio Carmody Groarke has created a beautiful temporary structure that can host an indoor art gallery while being in the middle of the great outdoors. The gallery called White Cube Glyndebourne resides on a grassy lawn surrounded by gardens and hedges. On one side of the completely cubic structure is an eatery and on the other is a lake.

The simple concept of the three-year pop-up art gallery is a multi-purpose space designed by architects Kevin Carmody and Andy Groarke. They used timber and plastic to create a sustainable and temporary exhibition facility.

This multi-functional establishment was created specifically to host the annual Glyndebourne Festival Opera for the proceeding three years. Along with this function the White Cube Glyndebourne will also be a tourist attraction as well as contemporary indoor art gallery for other exhibits.
