Color-Popped Eco Architecture

The Indigo Tower is Designed to Clean up the Hong Kong Skyline

The Indigo Tower is a conceptual high-rise designed to purify the Hong Kong air. The Hong Kong-based design firm 10 created this design, which uses a nano coating of titanium dioxide to catch dirt and grease in the air. The dirt and grease oxidizes and is released in the form of carbon dioxide.

The nano coating's reaction is powered by photovoltaic panels during the day and night. The intensity of the tower's indigo coloring will correspond directly to how much solar energy is gathered during the day. Gardens will be placed throughout the Indigo Tower to turn the carbon dioxide created by the tower into oxygen. Rain water will also be collected by the high rise to both water the tower's garden and for its plumbing.
