In response to a husband and wife’s request for additional privacy for their home space, Dutch architecture and design studio Inbo constructed a transparent glass-clad house called Villa Sterk on the outskirts of Bontebok.
Occupying an area of 470 square meters is an extensive, single-storey house that features stunning floor-to-ceiling glass windows along the sides of the home. The house is situated and angled so that the sides of the house face the north and the south, respectively. The wide expansive spaces leave plenty of room for the division of a public and private space of the house. The interior of the house is covered in concrete walls, natural white stone and cement.
The smallest part of the house features a private office and a storage area, while the larger part of the house consists of the main living quarters, two bedrooms, a living and dining room and a study room.
