Frilly Shopping Totes

Zandra Rhodes' IKEA Collection Introduces New IKEA Frakta Bags

Zandra Rhodes designed a 26-piece collection for IKEA and it includes a boldly colored, frilly version of the iconic IKEA Frakta bag. Known for a bright pink bob and a colorful design aesthetic, Rhodes is putting her own stamp on the famous shopping bag that takes cues from the backs of pillows.

As far as Rhodes sees it, "The Frakta bag is IKEA!" and it could not be left out of the Karismatisk collection. The bright pink bag has shoulder straps and curved edges, boldly setting itself apart from the all-blue version. The collection also includes other vibrantly colored and patterned pieces for the home.

IKEA has played around with the design of its Frakta bag before for special events, celebrations and designer collaborations with Virgil Abloh and Hay.
