Sculptural Artistic Chandeliers

The IKEA Experiments in LED Line is Creatively Romantic

As much as people moan and cry over the loss of the classic incandescent light bulb, the IKEA Experiments in LED collection show that the alternative can be very beautiful as well. It is comprised of three very different designs, each as ethereally enchanting as the next.

The Solullen pendant lamp, designed by Ehlen Johansson, is made out of paper that has been made to look like an expanded metal wire net. Its cutout lampshade casts beautiful shadows when lit. The Onsjo chandelier by designer Sigga Heimis likens tiny LED diodes to flying fireflies, while the Haggas pendant lamp individually diffuses each diode for a drip-like effect that is reminiscent of raining sparks. Each design is sculptural and romantic.
