The Ike Stool is inspired by a burst pipe. Conceived and created by Studio Dreimann, it is made out of an actual steel pipe. One end of the pipe has been strategically cut into three sections and then bent by a machine to make it appear as though it burst apart suddenly.
Unveiled during Stockholm Design Week, the Ike Stool features an overall minimalist design. The monochromatic steel base is topped off with an oak wood seat. Priding itself on its functionality as much as its form, the Ike Stool has a simple screw feature that allows the sitter to adjust it to his or her height at whim. All the person needs to do is rotate the seat up or down.
