Hyundai Re:Style 2021 Repurposes Discarded Vehicle Materials

Hyundai has been turning old vehicle materials into its pieces for making clothing and the Hyundai Re:Style 2021 collection shows off designs created with fashion stores L’Eclaireur and Boontheshop. There are 12 wearable and eco-friendly upcycled designs that have been created with discarded materials from the car manufacturing process.

The fashion collection cleverly repurposes airbags and seatbelts into stylish track jackets, sweatshirts, zipper hoodies and pants. The styles also incorporate sustainable innovations like Bio PET and recycled fibers, as seen in the Hyundai IONIQ 5, to show the many practical applications for biomaterials.

This year's fashion collection from the Hyundai Motor Company is a celebration of "progress for humanity" and support for a more sustainable future. The dozen designs are available in limited quantities from the partnering retail stores.
