Morbidly Destructive Car Commercials

Hyundai Commercial Showcases an Uncomfortable Facet of Life

There seems to be no limit to the type of commercials advertisers are willing to put out in the world to garner attention for brands, as proven by the new Hyundai commercial by the Innocean ad agency.

The commercial starts normal enough, but as the camera angle moves, the video showcases a very disturbing scene of a man attempting suicide. The video showcases an attempt of carbon monoxide poisoning by the elderly man; the music sets the tone for the dramatic scene and then ends with the caption ‘THE NEW ix35 with 100% WATER EMISSIONS.’

The commercial captures a very disturbing and very real scenario of life. The Innocean ad agency decided to feature the water-emitting vehicle in a morose way that many people will find very uncomfortable.
