Hunter Engineering has unveiled its latest innovation in automotive service technology: the Road Force WalkAway wheel balancer. Designed to streamline tire maintenance, the new balancer promises to cut the time needed for a complete four-tire changeover by up to 45 percent.
At the heart of the system is Hunter’s WalkAway Inflation System, which automatically releases the inflation chuck once the tires are inflated, allowing the machine to immediately begin the balancing spin. This automation translates to significant time savings for technicians: roughly 10 minutes per vehicle with a standard tire changer, 12 minutes with the Maverick tire changer, and 15 minutes when paired with the Revolution tire changer.
In addition to its efficiency, the Road Force WalkAway balancer features a new two-piece hood, enabling the unit to sit 4.5 inches closer to the wall, an advantage for workshops with limited space. A new hood angle sensor further enhances accuracy and usability, ensuring every wheel is perfectly balanced with minimal effort.
