'Helaina' Begins Manufacturing Artificial Breastmilk Equivalent

Founded by Laura Katz in 2019, Helaina has created an artificial breastmilk equivalent that it refers to as a 'humanized infant formula.' Most baby formulas are starkly artificial, leaving mothers with the option of feeding their baby naturally or through often imperfect formulas. However, Helaina has created a solution to this dilemma with its first-ever humanized infant formula.

This formula is meant to deliver near-identical proteins to natural breastmilk, and current data shows that the proteins in this formula are 99% similar to breastmilk. This means that babies will receive near-identical benefits to those that breastmilk provides without putting the onus on the mother to provide the breastmilk. The infant will receive the necessary antibacterials, antivirals, and antifungals, all of which are not easily obtainable in the current baby formula market.

This humanized infant formula will nurture healthy babies while relieving stress from mothers.
