The 'HP Dev One' Uses a Linux-Based Operating System for Developers

HP teamed up with 'System76,' a Denver-based computer manufacturer, to create the 'HP Dev One,' a Linux-based laptop for computer programmers. While HP has previously created laptops that directly support Linux operating systems, the HP Dev One will feature a much more affordable price tag, costing only $1,099 USD at MSRP.

The HP Dev One boasts an octa-core Ryzen 7 CPU and a built-in NVMe M.2 SSD to ensure both data reliability and processing speed for developers. The computer includes 16GB of DDR4 RAM for smooth multitasking or for larger operations. As for the size of the laptop, its screen measures only 14-inches at a resolution of 1920 by 1080p, meaning it is a relatively lightweight, compact laptop. The HP Dev One is an excellent fit for developers who travel often or prefer to bring their laptops with them.
